Have a Safety Shot
Most good players a go-to drive that they can pull out on holes where a missed fairway can spell disaster. You should have a shot like this in your bag, too, even if it means falling in love with your favorite fairway wood, or better yet, learning to hit a controlled fade with your driver. Work hard on your go-to shot on the range during practice sessions. When you get to the course and are facing a tough driving hole, you will be glad you have the go-to shot.
